Vorwort:
Die Musik die wir mit den 60ern assoziieren, verbinden wir automatisch auch mit dem Vietnamkonflikt. Oft wird von den Bands der Alltag der GI`s behandelt, oder eben auch das Leben in den USA. Es werden Rassenmissstände und Drogenkonsum, sowie Politische Probleme als auch Frontgeschichten besungen. Diese Musik sagt vielen von uns besonders zu.

Man sagt, Jimi Hendrix wäre im Dienst der 101.st Airborne gewesen. Das ist soweit richtig, er wurde auch am Knöchel verletzt - doch das alles innerhalb der USA. Er quittierte 1963 den Dienst.

Manche der Jefferson Airplane Lieder sind recht verrufen - da man der Band nachsagt, sie verstärke mit ihrer psychodelischen Musik den Drogenkonsum zu Zeiten der LSD Welle.
